9/5/15
(Oregon), Hillsboro. Undated Chamber Of Commerce 5¢ aluminum. I have encountered this common 21mm aluminum tokens many times over the years. I have not previously considered it a MTC, but perhaps it should be listed. Apparently issued by a Chamber of Commerce, and without a specified location for redemption. Perhaps some sort of depression-era emergency money, and then perhaps listable. I will have to do some research before listing this, and other similar Chamber of Commerce issues. Offered Buy It Now for $3.95 plus $1.95 shipping, it did not find a home, and is still available as of November 27.
9/6/15
Arizona, Tucson. 1933 Wolfville Western Days Dollar. Unknown mintage. Catalog value $6.50. Also collected by So-Called Dollar collectors as HK-689. Described as “Bright Red Uncirculated”. 9/7/15

9/10/15
Alaska, Anchorage. 1967 Alaska Centennial Dollars. Set of three pieces, red, white, and blue plastic in cardboard holder of issue. Unknown mintage. Catalog value $3.00 each. Offered for a $9.99 start plus $3.00 for shipping. No bids. Since then it has been available for $9.99 BIN with FREE shipping. Still available as of November 11. Beneath this listing ebay noted that another set by a different seller was available for just $3.99. It looked like a bargain, but the $6.65 shipping fee made it even more expensive than the one being offered for $9.99.
9/11/15
Texas, Harlingen. 1960 50th Anniversary Half Dollar. Mintage 2,650. Catalog value $4.00. This choice uncirculated piece was offered at a 99¢ plus $3.00 shipping start. There were no bids and it was not relisted.
9/12/15
Illinois, Shawneetown. 1960 Sesquicentennial Half Dollar. Mintage 8,000. Catalog value $3.00. Opening bid was $12.95 with FREE shipping. That was pretty steep for this common issue, and it did not find even a single bidder. Still available at the same price more than two months down the line. The current listing - which is now a Buy It Now item - ends on November 29.
9/13/15
Iowa, Pella. 1989 Dutch Dollar. Unknown mintage. Catalog value $4.00. Available Buy It Now for $6.99 with FREE shipping. No bids. Relisted until November 13, still with no bids, before the seller ended the listing unsold.

9/15/15
Arizona, Lake Havasu City. 1975 London Bridge Dollar. Mintage 20,000. Catalog value $4.00. Start was just $1.00 and shipping a very reasonable 75¢. After 7 bids it sold for $3.02.
9/15/15
Indiana, Princeton. 1964 Sesquicentennial Half Dollar. Unknown mintage. Catalog value $10.00. Starting bid was $7.50 and postage an additional $2.25. That is what I won it for - no competition this time!
9/15/15
Iowa, Tipton. 1965 125th Anniversary Dollar. Mintage reportedly just 500. Catalog value $12.50. Start was $5.99 plus $3.88 shipping. The seller tried two additional weeks at the same start, then lowered the opening bid to $4.99, still with that $3.88 shipping fee. There have been no bids and it is still available as of November 14.
9/15/15
South Dakota. 1977 Souvenir Dollar. Mintage 6,000. Catalog value $3.50, assuming it is the more common variety with a numbered edge. Bids were to begin at $5.95, but even with a reasonable 99¢ shipping fee, there was no interest. Relisted the following week at the same price, there was a single bid and it sold for the opening price.
9/16/15
Hawaii, Maui. 1972 Maui Dollar in Sterling Silver, Numbered 403 (of 752, according to Cataloger Metcalf), variety with rounded (puffy) low clouds - if anyone cares about that. It started at $1.99 plus $2.99 shipping, and sold for $54.88 after 14 bids.

9/19/15
Nebraska, Nemaha County. 1967 Nebraska Centennial Dollar in nickel silver. Unknown mintage. Catalog value $3.50. The starting bid was $9.99 with FREE shipping. No bids. Not relisted.
9/20/15
Alaska, North Pole. 1966 Santa Claus House Dollar in Sterling Silver. Unknown mintage, but probably 750 - this one edge lettered STERLING and 239. Catalog value $20.00. Offered for $22.47 plus $2.99 shipping. This was a very choice example, the seller describing it as a Proof, but there were no bids. Relisted as a Buy It Now item ever since, it is still available, at the same price, as of November 16.
9/20/15
Arizona, Lake Havasu City. 1975 Havasu Dollar. For those who care, this was the variety without the die crack through the L. Mintage 20,000. Catalog value $4.00. The start was 99¢ with another 99¢ for shipping. After 5 bids it sold for $4.34.
9/20/15
Hawaii, Honolulu. 1991 Honolulu Dala in Silver. Mintage reports vary. Catalog value back in the days of $8.00 silver, just $15.00. It will probably list for about $35.00 in the new edition. This one was a very nice specimen offered for $75.00 plus $5.85 shipping. It did not receive any bids and the seller relisted it as a Buy It Now item at the same price. Still available for $75.00, but now with a Make Offer option. The current listing ends on November 21.
9/20/15
Hawaii. 2007 $10 Liberty Dala 1/2 Ounce Silver with Warrior of Hawaii obverse. Regular issue without number or Hawaiian Islands counterstamp. Unknown mintage. Not cataloged. Offered for $65.00 plus $5.85 shipping. No bids. Relisted as a Buy It Now item with a Make Offer option. On October 8, two and a half weeks later, the item was sold for someone’s Best Offer but Ebay does not disclose the price it sold for. I don’t know why ebay does not publish the amount it sold for - I cannot see the downside. Anyhow, thanks a lot, Ebay.
9/20/15
Oregon, North Bend. 1959 Oregon Centennial wooden 50¢. Mintage unknown. Catalog value $7.50. After a 99¢ plus $2.95 start, three bids later this one sold for $7.25.
9/20/15

Not cataloged in previous editions of my catalog. This one was offered for a start of 99¢ plus $2.95 shipping. After 9 bids it sold for $33.25.
9/21/15
Michigan, Marshall. 1991 National Historic Landmark District Dollar. Struck in Oxidized Bronze. Unknown mintage. Catalog value $4.00. Offered for $5.99 plus $2.99 shipping. No bids. After 5 additional weekly listings at the same price, its final listing ended on November 8, unsold.
9/21/15
Minnesota, Marshall. Undated Radio Station KMHL Gold Strike Dollar. Once listed, but currently deleted. I may well list it again in the next edition. It doesn’t commemorate anything, but was redeemable “At Participating Sponsors Where the KMHL Gold Strike Sign is Displayed”, so it had general usage in the community, and probably ought to be listed. Not too scarce, apparently, as this About Uncirculated one sold to a single bidder for the 1¢ (plus $2.49 shipping) start.
9/22/15
Arizona, Prescott. 1915 Frontier Day Celebration $5.00. Unknown mintage. Catalog value $15.00. This example in choice About Uncirculated condition. I was the only bidder at the $15.00 plus $1.25 starting price. Whatta bargain!
9/22/15
Hawaii, Kaui. 1973 Sterling Silver Kauai Dollar with number (904) on block on reverse. Type with two pairs of equal size figures at either side of obverse shrine. Metcalf uses the mintage figure of 226 which I used as well in the last edition of my catalog. The number 904 on this piece may not necessarily challenge the reported mintage figure as there were 3 distinct obverse varieties in 1973 which were probably consecutive from the first type. While it is one of the most available of this early Hawaii Dollar series, it appears far too infrequently for there to be over 900 pieces out there! Start was $1.99 and postage was $2.99 more. This piece drew 14 bids and sold for $36.98.
9/22/15
Wisconsin, Oconto. 1969 Tricentennial Half Dollar. Mintage unknown. Catalog value $5.00. Start was $3.49 and postage just 71¢ more, but there were no bids. Relisted for a dollar less the following week, and when there were still no bids, the seller ended the listing.

9/23/15
Hawaii, Waikiki. 2014 Waikiki Dala. Silver Proof, Hula Dancer Variety. Unknown mintage. Not yet cataloged. Offered for $60.00 BIN with FREE shipping. The same one being sold by the Royal Hawaiian Mint for $45.00. Relisted ever since then, still at the same price, with the current listing scheduled to end on November 24.
9/23/15
Minnesota. 1958 Uniface gilt copper Centennial Medal/Half Dollar. A So-Called Dollar, HK-517. Unknown mintage. Not cataloged in the previous edition of my catalog. This about uncirculated example failed to get a bid at its $9.98 plus $2.08 start, so it was relisted for $2.00 less. When there were still no bids the seller ended the listing.
9/23/15
Nevada, Virginia City. 1921 Comstock ’49 Camp Half Dollar. Unknown mintage. Catalog value $17.50. A rare issue, but unfortunately, this piece was corroded and small pieces were missing! Not graded, but noted as “GENUINE” on its NCS (Numismatic Conservation Services) slab. This was the variety with the circular counterstamp. Offered for $90.00 plus $2.50 shipping. No bids. Not relisted.
9/23/15

9/24/15
Montana, Red Lodge. 1935 Red Lodge Rodeo Half Dollar. Unknown mintage. Catalog value $15.00. This one a bit worn in Extremely Fine condition. Start was $5.99 plus $1.10 shipping. The piece sold for $6.49 after just two bids. A bargain!
9/24/15
Nebraska, North Bend. 1956 Centennial Buck. Unknown mintage. Catalog value $6.00. Listed with a $10.95 start and an additional $3.00 shipping fee. There were no bids so the seller raised his price to $12.95 BIN, still with the $3.00 postage fee. Still no luck, so the seller added a Make Offer option. As of November 17 it is still available.
9/25/15
Pennsylvania, Hummelstown. 1962 Bicentennial Half Dollar. Unknown mintage. Catalog value $2.50. There were no bids at the $4.95 plus $1.93 start this week, so the seller tried one more week at the same price before offering it as a Buy It Now item at the same cost for a month or so before finally giving up and ending the listing on November 10.
9/25/15
Pennsylvania, Irwin. 1964 Centennial Half Dollar. Mintage 5,000. Catalog value $10.00. Up for bid starting at $4.99 plus $3.89 shipping. No bids. Listed one more week at the same start, still with no success, and the seller ended the auction unsold.

9/26/15
Maine, Old Town. 1965 125th Anniversary Half Dollar. Unknown mintage. Catalog value $5.00. With a $7.99 start and $3.89 additional for postage, this one did not fare so well. The following week it was offered for $5.99 + 3.89, still with no success. The seller tried at this level until November 4 before giving up and ending the listing.
7/26/15

9/26/15
Minnesota, Frazee. 1966 Diamond Jubilee Half Dollar. Unknown mintage. Catalog value $7.50. No one seemed to be interested in this one, so I was able to win it at the opening bid of $3.99 plus $1.10 shipping.
9/27/15
Hawaii, Honolulu. 1992 Honolulu Dala in Sterling Silver. The Royal Hawaiian Mint issue, unfortunately slightly circulated. Unknown mintage. Not cataloged in the previous edition of the catalog. Starting price was 1¢ plus $2.45 shipping. It sold for $30.59 after 11 bids by 8 bidders.

Kansas, Leavenworth. 1976 U. S. Bicentennial/Buffalo Bill Cody Days Dollar. Mintage 1,500. Catalog value $7.50. This is the only year of this 15 year series that does not have a denomination. The area which usually had the denomination was replaced with a Bicentennial inscription. Sold to a single bidder for the $5.95 plus $1.99 start. A bargain!
9/28/15
Michigan, Reed City. 1950 Diamond Jubilee Quarter. Unknown mintage. Catalog value $4.00. This specimen was in the typical About Uncirculated condition and had a start price of just $1.99 with FREE shipping, but it received no bids and was not relisted.

9/30/15
Iowa, Pella. 1991 Dutch Dollar. Unknown mintage. Catalog value $3.50. Start was $9.99 plus $3.00 shipping. A really nice example, but not surprisingly, it received no bids at this level.
