Hawaii, Kauai.  1973 Kauai Dollar.  Two pairs of different sized petroglyphs.  Very Fine.  The seller said it was brass, but the image looked silver.  Now, on closer inspection, I am pretty sure it was silver because the crown is connected to the shrine, and on the brass example in my collection the crown in not connected to the shrine, while it is on the silver.  Start $1.75.  Postage $1.50.  There were 4 bids placed by 3 bidders, and it sold for $4.81 - below the value of the metal in a silver example, but high for a worn brass one.

Arizona, Lake Havasu City.  1984/85 London Bridge Commemorative Dollar.  The scarcer Antiqued Nickel Silver version with a mintage of just 2,500 compared to the standard bright Nickel Silver finish of which 25,000 were made.  The start was $2.50 and the postage just 70¢ more.  The token sold for $7.50 after 5 bids by 3 bidders.

Montana.  1964 Statehood/Territorial Centennial Souvenir Dollar.  This one in an very unusually worn Very Fine condition.  Starting Bid $2.10 with FREE shipping, or you could have had this one for a BIN price of $3.30.  There were no bids, and the item continued to be listed - but now only as an auction item.  After 2 weeks the start was raised to $2.15, and on November 24 it was lowered to $1.90.  December 1 brought a start increased to $2.15 again, and that lasted until December 11 when the listing was ended “because the item is no longer available”.

Nevada.  Undated (Copyright 1975) Nevada Dollar.  Offered by the seller as an “Unlisted Gem BU Nevada Dollar” that “appears silver”.  This one surely looked like the Nickel Silver Plated version that I catalog for $3.50.  Like the "silver" 1960 Chadron Nebraska issue, this Nevada piece is offered frequently as silver. If I had thought that it really was silver I would have been in there bidding aggressively, but all the "silver" ones I have checked out were silver plated.  The start was $15.00 plus $4.00 shipping.  Four different bidders each placed a bid and it sold for a very high $26.88. This issue, in any finish, appears less frequently than I had expected, so in the next issue of the catalog they probably will go up to $5.00.
